Protecting your family and personal financial planning is simpler and easier than you’ve been told. You just have to know the shortcuts and take them before it’s too late. Our “Ideal Family Lifestyle Protection Portfolio” can help. Your “Ideal Family Lifestyle Protection Portfolio” should include the eight critical components to protect your family. The first two are;

1) A Will and Powers of Attorney – Know a dysfunctional family? Sadly these may be the people who will be fighting over you and your stuff unless you make it legal today. Decide in advance to be sure your wishes are respected and your family knows the ground rules. Keep peace in the family for generations.

2) Life Insurance – Your family’s lifestyle can change drastically in a heartbeat unless you’ve protected them. The money you don’t have to guarantee lifestyle and pay final expenses is more important than the money you do have – say for retirement. Seven to ten times your income plus your debts in life insurance often does the job. (The maximum coverage is about 25 times income). The amount you pay depends on the time you need it.

We’ve discovered that fewer than 56% of Canadians have a will. Fewer still have made arrangements to make sure the cash needed to do what they want is there to do it.

“Attitude …

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past than education than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.

It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company … a church… a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past … we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude … I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it.
